Does Obama know he can't vote "Present" on issues while he's President?

Update:

So Presidnt's don't approve bills passed by the House and Senate? How much do you know?

how about that? he'll actually have to have an opinion.... and state it!

Sure he can... If Congress is in session and a bill sits on his desk for 10 days it becomes law. Or if congress adjourns before the 10 dyas and the President has not done anything then the bill does not become law.

Actually he can by not signing or vetoing the bills and let the bills expire. Technically it's a veto and other presidents have done it.

Do you know that a president sign bills and do not vote?

  • 1 decade ago

Maybe..but he can still ignore a bill and it can automatically be vetoed after a certain amount of time.

Do you know that a State Senator is the only one that vote "Present" and not a US Senator?

Wonder which one of you knows more.

Yeah, good question, since the President votes in Congress and all.

Approval is not voting. It's...well, how can I put this simply? Approving.
