How do you tame kittens?

I trapped a couple of kittens and they are so afraid.

I have them in a cage and I have to tame them before I try to give them away. Any suggestions are welcome. They are about 7-8 weeks old.

    Feed them from your hand

Play with them with some string.

Basically just hang around them and they will calm down in a few weeks.

Source(s): I had a wild kitten which used to hiss at me and run and hide, eventually it saw I was no threat and now it's a grown cat and very happy.

Time, get a good soft treat that you can feed them through the wire and just talk to them everyday. It's not easy but with patience you'll get them ready for a home.

the mum being with them or no longer has no longer something to do with feral... feral capacity basicly wild... if mom isn't owned by capacity of a few one.... they're feral... anyhow that wasnt your question. ususally at merely 2 weeks mom won't such as you messing with them. in case you may merely get them used to your scent. they possibly are hissing at you for now. as quickly as they end hissing once you physique of innovations them, you may gently carry them and merely seem to make certain they're healthful, yet otherwise flow away them on my own. dont mess with them to plenty or mom will flow them or worse, abandon them. whilst they're like 6 weeks old you may start to puppy and play with them.

Pet with them, play with them, give them as much attention as you can. It's not too late, but if you wait much longer, it will be.

    Good Luck! :)
