Is President Bush an Sensible Choice to Head the Global Economic Summit?

Perhaps he should point out all of the things a country should NOT do to keep the economy strong. Perhaps he should suggest a little regulation to keep the lenders in line. Instead, the speech he is making sounds as if he is really an economic expert, when we all know he is an exponent of overspending, careless borrowing, expensive preemptive wars and trickle down theories that has sent out economy into a tailspin.

My question is: How can anyone take this man seriously enough to listen to him speak on Economics, not only for nations, but for the entire world? Do you think a real expert should be host of this Summit, with some clearcut answers for our problems? Paul Krugman, recent winner of the Economics Nobel Prize might be an example.

The problem with G.W.(Bushwhacked his own Country), (sorry), is that he's still President, we can't stop him from making an idiot of himself on Live TV, but, you'll notice that except a few remarks from reporter and people who cover the story, no one is really listening to him. It's not a big secret that he's just trying to talk his way thru the rest of the time he's in office, fix a horrible reputation, by putting a few economic words together. He is the reason we are in the mess we are in, along with all the Yes men who tied themselves to his side throughout this 8 year plunge into He--. So to answer your question, No one takes him seriously, I doubt his own family takes him seriously, The entire world is affected by what this man did, he thought only the United States would be affected, small potatoes for him, but he didn't count on the other countries doing a nose dive right along side of us. I want to know why this President wanted 750,000,000,000.00 to bail out our troubled economy, it's not being used for what they told us it would be used for, big surprise there, but how much of this money is going into Bush and his friends pockets?? He was just too adamnant about getting this money before he left office, American people deserve to know why, and where this money is going to end up, every last cent of it, don't you think?

Bush should never be considered as head of any economic summit. What he should do is request the new president elect to appear and learn the dynamics of international negotiations. I'm appalled that our new president elect has declined to attend. Most of the policies and adjustments made there will affect his presidency, not GW Bushes. And yes Paul Krugman should be our chief spokesperson at the event. The new president elect should be demanding to be included at this event rather than evading any Bush connection. The people will applaud his attendance more than understanding his hesitancy to appear.

LMAO. Bush was just on TV telling us the US economy was still strong. It's obvious he has no clue as to reality. Plus he isn't respected by any other countries, so he would be a bad representative of the US.

Maybe you should try putting your political prejudices aside and try listening to what he has to say.

BTW - what makes you think that Krugman can translate theory into practical actions? There is a huge difference between theory and application.
