Yes. I mean, how else do you explain them acting like Obama is some monster who's going to steal all of their freedoms, when Bush has been doing exactly that for eight years? Or how they can say Obama is a socialist, when we've already had socialism under Bush and ever since Roosevelt? Or how they can complain about raising taxes, when Bush has exploded the size of government and made our national debt bigger than ever before?

They just take their marching orders and don't reflect for a moment on whether what they're being told is true or not. It's frightening.

No but many influential Republicans think that the time has come to look at their policies. Many believe that they should be more moderate to appeal to more voters. It will be interesting to see what changes, if any, they make in the next 4 years.
