how do i change my drivers license to a new state? (maryland)?

i recently moved from michigan to maryland but kept my michigan license as i wasn't sure how long i'd be staying in maryland. now it looks like i'm going to be staying here awhile, so i would like to get a maryland license, register to vote here, etc. how do i go about in doing this? i checked the maryland DMV website and couldn't find any answers .. all it says is that i must get a drivers license within 60 days of becoming a resident here .. HUH?

for the record, i don't actually have a car at this point or anything, i just want a maryland drivers license, and i want to make this address my 'permanent' address.

You walk into the Maryland DMV office with your Michigan drivers license, and the required proof of residency and ID and you pay a fee and they take your picture and give you a new Maryland license. It isn't that difficult.

Just take your Michigan license to the DMV and apply for the Maryland license. You might have to take the written test (a friend did moving to Indiana from Maryland), but if your record is clear you should be home free pretty quickly.
