Ford escort kind of stutters while in 3rd and 4th gear.?
I don't believe it is a fuel filter issue. It feels like something mechanical in the drive train somewhere. It almost feels like fuel is cutting out but i know what that feels like and it doesn't quite feel the same. I can shift fine, but while in 3rd and 4th tit seems to lose power and then gain it back quickly. It almost feels like when you let the clutch out really fast without enough rpm's, but not as extreme.

I think you need to replace those gears...
