Miilions without access to medical care, an environment in rapid decline, families losing their homes...?

Can any of these problems be solved by a single segment of our society? Can the conservatives or the liberals solve them? Can the gays or the straights do it alone? Can the Christians handle it without those who are not Christian?

If your answer to any of these is yes then I'd love to hear your plan. If your answer is no then isn't it time we became inclusive of all and began to address the very real problems that face us a nation? As for me, I think it's time to tear down the walls that divide us and face the future as an equal, united people. We will always have differences of opinion, but we can be a united people.

You could solve this all by following Canada's example.

    Hello,

Well as steadfast Yuppie achievers used to croak, too bad. In our society there are winners and losers! Well, as of late there are just too many losers.

I think you need some sort of price controls on housing. For example in my province Alberta in big towns and cities an an average home cost 420 k last year. Even if you are making 120 k gross per year, the bank will give you a maximum mortgage of 287 K. if mom and and dad didn't die and leave you their estate you just don't qualify. When an average old hovel gets out of range for a person making 6 figures, this is real a problem. Labour costs too; 60 - 90 dollars an hour for carpenters to auto mechanics, 200.00 for a lawyer or dentist. I have a degree too but why do I have to work 4-6 hours for an hour of someone else's time? God help those on lower wages.

In case my figures are different, I live in Canada and the banks were much tighter at giving out credit. We have medicare so that's not an issue.

    Cheers,

    Michael Kelly
