    He is still playing the sport, rarely do sportsmen receive knighthood before retirement.

    With that said, expect him to, probably, get one in 20 years time as, by then, he'll be 41 - which is still under the age that most people receive the knighthood.

    Col, Check YOUR history books When Elizabeth I died, King James VI of Scotland became king of England as well as Scotland, thus uniting the kingdoms of England and Scotland for the first time. From this point on the Monarch became head of the Union. Elizabeth was crowned 'Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland'. And Yes, QE2 will honour Mr Murray with a knighthood at some point
