How painful are neck tattoos?
I know what I'm getting and to be honest, I'll still get it even if it kills me :) all I want is a question mark about 2cm tall and less than a cm wide and pretty thin lining on the back of my neck.
ofcourse, i was overexaggerating with the 'killing me' just letting people know i'd get it hwever painful it was.
just want to know what to expect
oh, i already have 3 tattoos:
-my wrist
-my ankle
-my hip
thanks so far!

I have the left and right side of my neck done (along with 13 other tattoos) and honestly, the ones on my neck were the least painful of all of my tattoos. It is a little disconcerting with the vibration of the machine that close to your head, but other than that, it's not bad at all. But everyone is different. But something that small, even if it IS painful, it won't last long at all.

i imagine the neck would be painful. thin skin, little fat, near bone, and VERY sensitive. i have to agree with the first answerer, as much as i LOVE tattoos, depending on your life situation, a neck tattoo may not be the best spot.

If you're worried about how it'll feel, it's not worth getting.
But can I make a suggestion anyways? Haha.
Make it bigger. It'd look better, bigger.
Source(s): Edit: Well what's the point of getting it if it'll kill you? No tattoo is worth that anyways. - How do you think about the answers? You can sign in to vote the answer.
