Chose any one college football program in America, how would you fix what has gone horribly wrong there?

My choice would be Idaho even though I think their AD is doing a great job overall. He is incrementally building the Kibbe Dome into a 25K bowl. It is tough sledding but he is working hard at it.

On the flip side, I think the scheduling could be a little better and the coach doesn't help. I get that the coach is supposedly a great recruiter, but there appears to be real questions if he can coach. I'd possibly give Robb Akey one more year to hit .500.

I'd want to replace him with a guy who has won in the Idaho region --- someone with a local name who can recruit and has a high powered offense --- UTEP's Mike Price. If I can't get him from UTEP, I'd go hard after his son Erick Price --- UTEP's former very successful offensive co-ordinator and now NFL assistant.

Scheduling, this year the team played @AZ, @San Diego State, hosted Idaho St, W. Mich, OOC. Last year it was @USC, @Wash St., and hosted Cal Poly & N. Ill. the year before it was @Mich St,@Ore. St., @Wash St, and hosted Idaho St.

It seems pretty clear that only FCS schools and the MAC (or MAC level conferences) are jumping to play an OOC game in the Kibbie Dome at it's current capacity and that the the other two games are body bag road games against upper conference FBS schools to generate revenue.

I would try to limit travel distances to allow fans to travel to the road games. Road game 1 would be Wassu every other year and alternating with Washington, Oregon, and Oregon State, until the kibbie dome is big enough to play home and home with Wassu. For road game 2 I'd try to alternate between Utah & BYU. For home game FCS, I'd rotate between Idaho St and Montana. (IMO, it is better to risk Montana running you to keep fans engaged.). For home game FBS, I don't know what more you can do than what the AD is already doing with his MAC strategy.

My two cents. What school would you try?

Well, my obvious choice would have been Kansas State, since Ron Prince has turned around a program that was in a BCS bowl very recently, and made them into an also ran fifth place Big 12 North team...but since the Cats have announced he won't be coming back, they're off the list.

Syracuse would be probably my choice, as they're in the state of New York, where there are plenty of recruits, yet they're garbage year after year now...start from scratch, recruit the state and coach the kids up, so in 2-3 years, you're not lousy anymore

    Auburn University...

1st.. I'd slip Jay Jacobs a $10 and tell him to get me a Subway.. and whle he was gone I'd take Bobby Lowder out behind the building n beat him down.. coach should be the boss not bigwigs trying to buy importance

2nd.. I'd tell Greg Knox and Hugh Nall (Recievers and OL Coaches respectively) to pack up and hit the bricks

3rd.. I'd offer Norm Chow enough money to make it impossible not to run my offense and let him make any other changes to offensive coaches except Eddie Gran (Special Teams/RB's) gets a pass.. he's the man

4th.. I'd call up Will Muschamp.. make him HC in waiting and pay him like half a mill a year to be DC..

then I'd change the solid white away uniforms and add a little bit of blue and orange Tiger striping to look cool

I would fix the pitt panthers, there an average team right now but they lose stupid games that they should win like Bowling green and Rutgers. But they beat teams like Notre Dame and South Florida. There coaching staff always tells the fan base that they don't look past games like this but from what i can see is that they play way to conservative in those games and the only thing these coaches are good for is recruiting.

michigan... id fix the whole scouting process. make kids want to play there again. instead of scouting a bunch of random positions like guard, tight end, free safety... id focus on quarterbacks, corners, left tackles and defensive ends, the real important positions...

i would go up to LSU and slap the living daylights out of les miles for letting jarret lee play, and then i would slap jarret lee, and i would then slao the whole defence for letting both georgia and florida score 50 points on them, and then i would just get so happy slapping people, i would go into the stands, and slap the band because they suck so much, and then i would slap the whole death valley because they too quiet.
