My big sister Had a baby so her husband wouldn't l;eave her. But due to financial situations, He was forced to join the army. What my big sis didn't realize was that they would be seperated for months at a time... Now she has a two year girl who is constantly bored so she demands my sisters attention constantly. My big sister breaks down sometimes because of the pressure of being alone, she wants her space and trully hates being stuck with her child 24 hours a day... What can I say to her? What are some stuff they could do other than watch 6 hours worth of movies everyday?

She could take her daughter to the park to play and interact with other kids. She could take her daughter to day care for a couple of days a week to help break up the feeling of being stuck. If she can not afford day care, maybe you could babysit for her one or two nights a week. Or maybe she could join a group or club for parents like herself. My community has a group called M.O.P.s. (Mothers Of Preschoolers). They do various things to help each other out and do different activities each week with the kids. Check with you local chamber of commerce or public health office to find groups that would benifit your big sister. Good luck.

She could join a local mother child group, they have alot of them, she can talk and hang out with other mothers with there kids, her daughter is 2 so she will playing with the other children, which would put less pressure on her, i'm guessing your mature, so maybe your could baby sit once in a while? might give her a break and will help her chill out for a bit.
Best wishes to your sister.

she should meet other parents in her area with small children. that way ,she can still talk to adults but not worry about having to get someone to watch her daughter. if you live close to your sister, offer to watch your niece sometimes so she can go and have a night out to herself
