Need Help with installation of Window A/C?

I have a Samsung window a/c AW12EC87 that is dripping down the inside wall. When I check it with a level it is inclined to the inside at about 1/4 to 1/3 inch to the foot drop ...I know this is improper but I need info on what I should do. Should it be installed level or should it be installed with a "drop" to the outside?

I do not have the owners manual.

It needs to be at least 1/3 bubble inclined to the outside for the condensation runoff will drain outside.

The mounting brackets for the outside should be adjustable to allow the incline. If your unit did not come with mounting brackets, you may need 1 or two...depends on the size of your A/C unit. If you need brackets, they're available at your local hardware or home improvement store.

    Good luck...

It without a doubt has to drop down on the outside. that would be in your manuel if you had it. check to look at the tracks on the top and bottom of the ac were the window frame and the above window meet the ac unit to hold it in place. you prob. have it misaligned and in the wrong slot position. make it drop to outside an inch or so. also, be sure to remove the drain plug on the outside bottom if it has one. the water will cause your wood wall to rot.

It has to be pitched to the outside so that the condensation can drip safely away from your home. Shim up the inside so that it sits higher than the outside. That's the only solution.

level is best but if you still get the run down might want to tilt it out a little or put on a little drip edge
