This is really bugging me!!! Are people truly as naive as their questions make them sound or just plain?
idiots? Some of the questions make me think that it's a joke. Two of my favorites are "my dog is sick or bleeding, ect., what do I do?" and "how much does it cost to have my dog fixed (or whatever)? I feel sorry for the pets that belong to these ignorant people! What kind of life they must have! I'm waiting for someone to ask if they have to feed their dog or can it just live on water! These people leave me in total awe at their blatant ignorance sometimes! My ten yr. old knows the answer to these questions!
The questions I was referring to in reference to vet care are the ones asked that are obvious to a child that the dog needs a vet!
It's not my child that is dumb, it's your ignorance that you can not comprehend what you read. Go back to high school! Only making it to sixth grade just isn't working for you!!

Unfortunately, it's a lack of pet owner education. You still do get your true idiots (people who have the IQ of a rock), but the main problem is lack of education for pet owners. People who don't know what questions to ask or who to turn to incase they have a question or problem. The internet can be a good and bad source (hence some of the answers that people give on here disturb me). Lack of some veterinary offices, shelters and breeders giving little to no information on the pets is probably the most problem I see with people not knowing what to do or who to turn to.

Sassy, some of the answers are as scary as the questions themselves. I myself try to answer only the genuine questions and offer up a bit of information to actually help the asker get through the night, or give them a little information to bring along to their vet, or things of that nature; however, sometimes I can't help but jump in for the sole purpose of correcting inaccurate information. Why answer questions if you haven't a clue what you're talking about?

Yes some of the questions asked on here are absolutely ridiculous! It bugs me too. Maybe alot of people just lack common sense. Which is very annoying to me. Some of the questions I read I think "uh duh yeah your dog needs to go to the vet." Such as getting hit by a car. Gosh makes me wonder if these people have children. Scary!

Haha, ask this in the "parenting" section, and you'll get a lot of responses about how not-so-smart your 10 year old is-- because not everyone needs to take their dog to the vet!!! I posted a Q like that once. (Only my son is 9!)
:)
**ADD** That's exactly what I meant-- it's SO obvious to my son that the dog needs a vet, but the parents who posted answers all said "They don't need a vet if they are bleeding to death! Your child is not smart! Dogs don't need vets!"

I've considered your question nearly every time I come here, including several times tonight...(("can I kill a dog for jumping up on my brother.?"))
I've concluded that it's just a culture that has convinced some individuals that appearing to be morons is somehow a good thing, no pride of self.
Because if they really were as retarded as their questions make them appear, they would need a tape recorded message reminding them to breath, 'else they'd die.

I wouldn't get so upset. This is the reason they post stuff like this, to see people in awe and to get reactions. I wouldn't worry about these idiots, but you do make a good point.
