Are you talking about the wall, as in comments your friends write on your wall? If that's the case (and you can't see them), in the top right, go to "Settings" > "Privacy Settings". Then click on "Profile".
Find "Wall Posts", and the dropdown box should be set to something like "Only Friends". I hope this will help you
