ok so if some one has like a 4 car garage for sale can you make a businees out of it?

In my part of the country (Southeastern Pennsylvania) the general auto repair shops are all going out of business. They can't afford the cost of the equipment required to service all of the new cars. The shops that are succeeding are those that specialize. The muffler repair shops, the brake shops, the tire stores, the quick lube places and the paint shops are all doing well. But, most of them are franchise operations with strict requirements regarding lot and building size, construction and appearance.

Unless your four car garage is located in an area they really want to be in and there are no other locations available your four car garage probably won't cut the mustard.

First of all, where is the 4 car garage located? If it is in a residential area-I doubt it. In other words-what is the zoning? You may want to start "on the side" doing friends cars and so on,and just do word-of-mouth business. Otherwise you're talking getting a bus. license and permits, yada yada yada.
