My answer is a question - who is a terrorist?

Taking a broad view of this almost every person involved in a non-convential "war" against a state is defined by that state as a terrorist. For example EOKA in Cyprus, IRA in Northern Ireland and the ANC in South Africa.

I think it would be difficult to find any country which has not had a terrorist attack under this definition and bombs have been around for a long time.

Nothing in this answer implies support for listed or other organisations.

The USA-awful the twin towers.

UK-we got bombed on our tube and buses in London

Also a few decades back we were bombed in lots of places by the Irish rebels

The majority of terrorism activities occur in the middle east.

9/11 was one big attack on America, and 7/7 was one attack on England, but in Israel and palestine and Iran and Iraq, the average citizen lives in fear of a bombing every single day.
