How do I make sure a car is no longer registered in my name?
I just sold my car and filled out all of the paper work. The person that bought it says they will turn it all in (e.g. the title transfer paperwork). So, how can I confirm that he does turn it in and get the title transfered in their name?

What State???I was wondering why, when people ask questions that are location specific, they don't or won't tell what Is important, like the State your in where the vehicle is registered and maybe someone has an answer for you. Isn't' that what this is all about? Answers? Go to a plate service bureau, if your State has them and pay a small fee to have them check or go to the DMV and wait on line and ask

Call the tax/title office in your county. They will let you know. Hopefully, you removed your license plate.
