answering yahoo questions on yahoo answes?

Its a mix...and I would hate to even hazard a guess...I agree different sections have different percentage of true questions...there are lots that are just plain stupid or loaded...it can be hard to tell sometimes.....not everyone has the same experiences so some questions that have obvious answers to me are quite serious problems for others and vice versa...its great to see the young ones and oldies all learning and sharing together...

You cant take a rejection or thumbs down on here too seriously though ...its only the internet...and we all have our own opinions.

Some of the questions refer to political events, in-depth reviews about various things and actual simple questions that should be asked on Yahoo! Answers; a website on the internet.

However, some of the questions are just ludicrous, and refer to things like 'So how do u noe how to put ur make up on like properlyszz?'

And some questions are too personal and just too deep to be posted on here. Questions that actually needs professional help, and not the help of strangers.

That's my point of view. :)

That is a good question... I think it's 50/50... Which makes it really hard for the people that actually ask serious questions to get serious answers.... Seriously...

About 4 out of every 20 questions I answer deserve a thoughtful response.

Some Serious, Some Not. It really depends on the question.

I don't know maybe 30/70, but how many people do you think take yahoo answers/questions way too seriously?

Why don' you count up all the questions asked, separate them into groups:

"Very Serious, Serious, Un -Serious or Very Un-Serious."

Once you've done that, post up another question with the results.

I've found many answers here that I couldn't find elsewhere. So a lot of the questions here are serious.

I don't think even Yahoo takes Yahoo seriously. If so their stock wouldn't be doing so bad.

Some of them are genuinely serious but most are just for fun or clearly been asked out of boredom.
