What Spanish or Mexican artists do you recommend?
I love Mexican music in the style of Mariachi and I also like some Spanish pop and rock. I don't like the polka type music.
I do like singers that sing with emotion. It doesn't matter if the music is new or old. Any recommendations? Thanks.
Shakira is definitely NOT what I'm looking for. I do like Los Lonely Boys but what I'm really looking for is non mainstream stuff.
Some artists that I love are:
Chavela Vargas
Placido Domingo
Mariachi Vargas
Lola Beltran
but I also like some bands like Cafe Tacuba and Mana.
I like Selena too by the way but she's also more mainstream than what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Check out Mago De Oz. They're a Spanish Folk Band. They're amazing.
