I have an intuition about my toddler?
I wrote in last night mentioning that my toddler has broken out in hives 2 times in the past 2 weeks. I can't seem to pinpoint anything different. The only common denominator is she has had a virus both times. I have an intuition though and have done some research on it. Apparently I'm not the only mother that feels this may be the case. She is two and a half years of age and has not cut her 2 year molars yet. She's constantly chewing on things in the back of her mouth and has been running an intermittent low grade temp. I am starting to lean toward the fact that the unexplained hives are caused by the teething of her molars. Research says that a certain percentage of the population gets hives, and out of that percentage, 90% of the time it's unexplained. I've talked to many moms of toddlers and preschoolers who have had this problem and not been able to identify it. I ruled out laundry, lotions. I seriously don't think it's food because it's never the same thing that causes the hives. I'm really starting to believe it's the teething of her 2 year molars, and or the cold/cough she's been experiencing. Has anyone experienced this?

My son is 5 & has always been prone to weird little skin problems since he was an infant like post-fever hives. I took him to the doc in a panic so many times & it always turned out to be fever hives OR contact dermatitis...He got sent home from day care more than once because too of this. Once he had hives they thought it was chicken pox & sent him home. Turned out to be fever hives. Another time he had a red patch around his mouth & they thought he had vitiligo! They made him sit quarantined in the office until I could pick him up & told me they would be cleaning everything he had touched with bleach. When I took him to the doc guess what it was? Contact dermatitis. What frickin morons! BUT anyway, yeah with some kids, this kind of thing just happens when they get over a fever. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it the hives are severely bright red or crusty or she has a high temp (over 102.1) too.

Your infant is advantageous. She's hitting her milestones and appears on or purely before her age, extremely. i imagine you're a paranoid and also you want to take it elementary a touch. Your infant will %. up on your paranoia and it would want to have unfavorable effects on them. All youthful babies are different and they have an inclination tl hit each milestones contained in the at their personal %.. they may be extra develop particularly issues and a touch slower in others. She might want to ok be hitting the negative twos. it isn't any longer a ailment, like some human beings trust. It does no longer advise your baby is "misbehaving" or that you're a foul parent. that is in elementary words somewhat they go by even as their communication progression hasn't stuck up with their psychological potential. they might desire something and can't coach it obviously. this may reason frustrations and the baby will trantrum. the major is going to be the way you manage those moments. good success and grants up being this manner of paranoid!
