I am 35 weeks 6 days pregnant and I have a ton of pain when I stand up.?

It is not all the time but more times that not when I stand up and I have a HORRIBLE pain. So much so that I scream when I stand up. It is just below my belly on both side and then in my upper legs both sides all at the same time.

Does anyone have any idea what this is? It just started happening on Sunday.

Update:

My girl moves around just fine, in fact she has found a favorite place to kick me and just keeps doing it. Just above my hip. I keep moving her little foot but she loves to put it back.

The last few weeks tend to be more painful/uncomfortable for you because baby starts running out of space, what you're describing sounds like they've shifted to a lower position and could be pressing on a nerve.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, try different sitting positions an see if that makes a difference - lots of cushions behind your back, sit further forward with your knees apart and belly between thighs to give baby more space - sorry can't think how else to describe the position

If you're due to see your midwife in the next couple of days make sure you tell her about the pain, she be able to give you better advice and check you over, if you haven't got an appointment due then give her or the maternity unit a ring.

Only a couple more weeks to go for you now, big hugs for the big day

I could just be added pressure from the weight of the baby. You should call your doctor though and have it checked out to be sure. Why take any chances on it being something bad? Stand up slowly and see if that helps. Good luck

It may be just the baby getting ready not to mention your body getting ready for labor. I and 35 weeks my self and get those cramps in my upper thighs but it is only on the inside and it feels like someone is just grabing that muscle and pinching it.

But if you are worried about you should always call your doctor.
