Can a snake eat a rabbit with suspected Pasteurella?

I just had a guy come over looking for some rabbits to feed his snake (I raise rabbits for show). I have one to give him but have another one that I was going to put down because of a snotty nose (I just got this one from someone else last week). I suspect it's Pasteurella but might be another kind of respiratory infection.

Would it be safe for him to use this one as snake food? Can snakes catch any respiratory infections that rabbits are susceptible to?

Snakes have very strong digestive juices and don't ask prey in the wild if it's healthy before devouring it!

However the safest way is to freeze them for a few days to kill any nasties
