How do we deal with the #1 factor in global warming!?
All science shows the sun has more to do with the earth's temperature
than anything else, how can we change the sun?
Coronal mass elections, solar flares, gamma ray bursts, magnetic polar shifts all these things can and do affect the earths atmosphere more signifacantly than human activity!

A simple blackbody calculation shows that the planet would be 33°C colder if not for greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. So why do you propose they're not important?
And an even better question, why are you trying to blame the Sun when we know that solar output has not increased in 30-70 years?

The Sun is the main heat source of the Earth there is no doubt on this any climate scientist would tell you this. They would also tell you that since the satellite record began in the 70s the Sun has shown no marked increase in output that would explain the continued warming trend.
The role the Sun may have played over the longer period isn't quite as well understood but is put as minor with an estimate of no more than 10-15%. This is from yet another science group that has little doubt GW is happening.

Deniers can jump up and down post as many faith & believer comments as they want this is science backed by data.
Geoweeg: The di-hydrogen monoxide joke was really funny the first 100 times its was used here, now it's getting a bit old.
Jim M: are you serious,
(a) "What has changed and is changing is the geothermal flux"
(b) "The geothermal flux is unknown to science"
If statement (b) is true then what do you base statement (a) on, crystal balls. The immediate 'hole' in this theory is the long term small contribution to sea temp has always been there and is part of the natural background. There is no observed increase in activity and suggesting that science knows nothing about "geothermal flux" just reveals that you don't know much about geo science.

The solar constant never has changed enough to have an effect on the Earth's climate. What has changed and is changing is the geothermal flux. The geothermal flux warms the ocean through hydrothermal vents that move around due to plate movement in the crust. This causes the climate to change and ice to form on the north pole from time to time. The geothermal flux is unknown to science and is just coming into the picture that science looks at. Its really a failing of science that this detail is overlooked at this time but at some time in the future it will become clear that the geothermal flux is real and a very powerful force.

First we figure out that we don't yet know just what it is that we don't know in regard to planetary warming and/or cooling. Looking at the first referenced site shows the 4+ cycles seen in the last 2 billion plus years and also points out that none of these fit any known sun cycle.
the 2nd site is just for the curious that want to examine thoughts from both sides.
BTW - man-made GW ain't!

ever since man kind was on earth the climate has been changing and what it was then is not what it is today, naturaly man will adapt to any climate change without the help of technology, i mean our ancestors survived harsh climates without the technology we have today, so i think with all the tech we have today we will survive again, so just relax and enjoy Yahoo answers

Thank you!!!
We may be doing things that are bad for the earth, but when you think about global warming, first of all it nature, remember when we went thru the ice age?? then it got warm again? and second, they are saying that temperatures are higher then they have been in 30 years... well, that means 30 years ago it was this hot?? so what are we freaking out about it is just mother nature.
I dont want you to think that I dont care about the environment, I mean I recycle and I want a hybrid car, but i think global warming is bull.

Nothing. The sun has already taken care of itself by entering in a state of low activity. The low temperatures and early snow we are experiencing is not noise. It is the start of a cooling trend.

The earth warmed by about 1 degree, what's there to "deal with" anyway?
