I think I'm onto something here...?

I've got a great idea on how to stop stupidity from spreading in the US. Sterilization! I know you can't legally sterilize stupid people against their will, so why not set up a program to do it? It would operate like this:

You run an ad or commercial during the Country Music Awards and on BET, offering $1000 to anyone willing to get a sterilization procedure done on themselves. Have them fill out the proper legal documents, and I'm sure the lines would be a mile long in bigger cities. This would in effect lead to the decline in the breeding of low IQ individuals, making the US a somewhat more manageable place to live in the future.

What do you think about that?

Feel free to add to my wonderful plan as you see fit.

Update:

handyman: that's what I meant

Update 2:

Bridgette: Thanks for the history lesson, I'm well aware of Hitler's intentions, and his means for pushing his agenda. I don't really care what color your hair, or your eyes are: some people would actually like to be sterilized this way, saves money on condoms (for married couples), birth control, child support, and we all benefit because we aren't paying these people's welfare when they grow up from these dysfunctional, 7 different dad families

I'd take that issue differently. I'd improve our education system, being the worst on the planet. Making courses mandatory.

I find it weird that from early age, we give the right to students to choose the courses they want to study. How stupid is that?

Everything we do should go through an improvement of the education in this country. It's a shame that 90% of kids under 17 can't understand a simple sentence after reading it out loud. It's a shame

Hitler had a similar idea. I don't think you want to advertise this idea of yours.

"Hitler wanted a pure Aryan race, people with blue eyes, blonde hair, muscular (in the case of men) and beautiful (the case of women). He wanted all Germans to be racially pure because he wanted to start his own "super" perfect race, even though he did not have blonde hair or blue eyes! Also there was a lot of speculation about him being homosexual, even though he sent homosexuals to concentration camps etc.

The Nazis aimed to ensure that all members of the state were of "pure" Germanic stock. In practice that usually meant proving that one's ancestry for three generations past was free of any mixing with "non-Aryans", i.e. Jews, Asians, Africans.

However, the emphasis was always on ancestry, which was tested through records. There was no test based on the individual's hair or eye colour. The only cases in which the actual physical characteristics of an individual were taken into account were where "pure" Germanic ancestry could not be documented to the required extent.

Obviously, German propaganda depicted individuals with a handsome appearance and with North European features. But blondness was not an exclusive characteristic. Propaganda films, such as films showing members of the Hitler youth, or girls doing gymnastics, display the normal range of physical features found among German, e.g. many blondes, but also many persons of darker colouring.

The 'ideal German' was also supposed to be tall, slender, phyically fit, free of any disability, deformity, abnormality or mental illness, sexually 'straight' as a poker, chaste, and completely immune to Marxism. Smoking, heavy drinking and taking drugs were also a complete 'no-no'. It wasn't only a matter of appearance.

A key catchphrase was 'a sound mind in a healthy body'. (It was sometimes said at the time that this really meant 'a servile, conformist, obedient mind in a body fit for military service' - or in the case of women 'a fertile body').

The only member of the Nazi leadership who bore any physical resemblance to the 'ideal German' was Reinhard Heydrich. During the Nazi period jokes circulated in Germany about being 'blond as Hitler, slim as Goering, chaste as Goebbels' and so on.

According to some sources, the Nazi leader who took all this most seriously was Himmler. Hitler's main concern was to 'get rid' of the Jews. He wasn't too interested in eye or hair colour. After all, he himself was far removed in appearance from the 'ideal type' ..".

A congressman in Louisiana tried to get legislation for this exact thing, and he was hammered by the press and lots of special interest groups.

Considering that forced sterilization was once legal in the U.S., it's a little too close to reality to be funny. Try again.
