One for the christians - free will?

If god exists and god gave me free will, to choose how to live my life. To choose whether to be with god or not, are you greater than god to say I am wrong in my choice?

No, that is your free will choice and who am I to judge?

Judge not lest ye be judged.

No because I can not take away what God has given you. I can however use my free will and ability to discern good from bad and make a judgment call on a situation or choice.

    And yes God does exist.

Adeendum: Postingnomore, nice try. Would you also argue that we can tough fire because we want to? That there should be no repercussion for a bad choice? Isn't that what most choices are? Choosing something good over something that is not good? Was staying out all night as a teenager ok because we wanted to, not caring what our parents said? If there was no bad side of a choice how would you know if your choice was good?

not at all, no one is greater than God! But You will be judged by God by the choice You make! Yes, You have the Free will to choose whether You go to Heaven or to Hell. Sincerely, I hope to see You in Heaven.

God does not oblige you to choose him!

There are two roads over to God first and then the devil that is second to be atheist not to believe in someone! I as a Christian you do not say that God and choosing the right thing (for me it is) maybe not for you if you ask these questions and you say that you do by force, because the right thing you know you!

Why would I be greater than God to say that you are wrong in your choice? Perhaps you spoke to a very ill-informed, less intelligent Christian who gave you such an idea. Just realize that not all Christians are like the ones you have encountered in your life.

God allows you to do anything you want, but tries to tell you what might hurt you in a written form of years of human wisdom called the Bible.

that depends on the definition of wrong. it's true you can do what ever you want and no man should judge you. it's not up to us to call the shots. You have read about your free will, now read about the consequence of our choice.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with the Messiah Jesus our Lord.

I don't understand why some choose to reject the infinite love of God. You can experience no greater love!

I found this quote about God and free will on wikiquote

God says do what you wish, but make the wrong choice and you will be tortured for eternity in hell. That, sir, is not free will. It would be akin to a man telling his girlfriend, 'Do what you wish, but if you choose to leave me, I will track you down and blow your brains out.' When a man says this we call him a psychopath and cry out for his imprisonment/execution. When a god says the same, we call him loving and build churches in his honor.

No. Do whatever you want, but look in the back-mirror for the cops if you go too far!

One for the atheists. If evolution is a matter of survival of the fittest, and no laws rule us except that, what does it matter to you that I choose to believe in something you don't agree with? Why do you have to bother us for our choices?

You have the total freedom to make whatever choice you want. I suppose you can say that neither choice is wrong. But considering the choice is heaven or hell, it kind of seems like a no brainer, y'know?
