Have you tried Epsom salt baths? Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is a great muscle relaxant. Epsom salt is readily available in the pharmacy section of most retailers.

For every 50 lbs in body weight, I would suggest using 1 pound of epsom salt in your bath. Fill the tub about 12 inches with hot water and take a few minutes to fully dissolve the salt in your bath. Fill the rest of the way with cool water. The water should be warm. If you have sweat beading down your face, then the water temperature is too hot. Slip into your tub so that the water line is just under your ears. You basically want your neck, upper shoulders, and upper back in the water. Soak for 20 minutes. Repeat daily if necessary.

If you are always having upper back pain, you may have a deficiency of calcium. A deficiency of calcium can cause muscle aches and pains, muscle twitching and spasm, and muscle cramps. I strongly recommend calcium lactate to shore up any calcium deficiencies as this form of calcium is easily ionizable and is the form found naturally in vegetables. You can source calcium lactate powder online, but my personal favorite is Calcium Lactate Powder from Standard Process. Take 1 tablespoon of calcium lactate powder daily on an empty stomach.

If the above suggestions do not fully resolve your back pain, you may want to incorporate yoga into your daily routine. Poor posture can contribute to your back pain. Tension in the neck and shoulders can be factors as well. Yoga is a great way to work on your posture, loosen up those tight neck and shoulders, and improve the overall strength of your upper back.

If you need a quicker fix, I don't know of a faster way to go than acupuncture.

Here is a good exercise to do when you are on bed rest. Lie on your stomach and prop yourself up by your elbows. Slowly and gently push up so that your hips remain on the floor and your stomach and chest are lifted up. Do this as far as you can without overextending yourself. After this, roll onto your back and insert a rolled up towel under your lower back.

If you perform this exercise for three or four days and find no relief it may be because your pain is not centered in your lower back. If you feel the pain more to one side than the other you can modify this exercise. The way you do this is to go ahead and lie down. Then shift your hips away from the side with the pain. Then go ahead with the exercise as described in the above.

the best thing is ease any pain is to lying back and relax. Try not to create too much tension in the back area. There are also these chinese medication I have no idea what it's called. I put on it's like a really sticky bandage like medication that gets stick to the area where it hurts. And you put it there for 6 hours so the medicine will be absorbed through the skin.

You tried everything. Your spine may be out of alignment. Try going to a chiropractor. You may find one that will give you a free consultation.
