Do your cat/s have their tails straight up in the air more times than not? ....?

If, so.........what shape are their tail/s?

My boy Izzy has a straight tail with just the end curling over slightly.

My girl Layna has her tail arching towards her head in an almost Alaskan Malamute dog way.

My second boy Gus has his tail absolutely and totally 90 degree angle straight up in the air.

And my last boy Midi has his tail straight up, but has a kink at the end so has a slight crooked look to it, bless.

As you will well know as kitty owners - nay, slaves; an upright tail in a cat denotes complete happiness with its surroundings.

I'd love to hear any tail (tale) :) you have about your furry feline babies!

Cornbread and Rocky are neck and neck in the lead for largest tail in my bunch. Rocky is just 6 months old so I'm sure he'll pass Cornbread before it's over. Both of them walk around like they're waving flags on flagpoles! Poor Cornbread always manages to get that big fluffy tail into something (like my coffee cup). Allie wraps her fluffy tail around her like a feather boa. It's so graceful. Willie and Peanut also have a fluffy tails but tend to keep theirs held low (maybe in an effort to keep the others from grabbing a playful pawful as they pass). Shasta, Sam, and Smokey are the short-haired cats. All of them proudly prance around with tails held high.

Zephyr holds his tail straight up like an exclamation point most of the time. He's very confident and secure.

Mais used to keep his tail down between his legs all the time. He came from a background of abuse, neglect, and then being a stray, so the world is a scary place for him. He's gradually started holding it about halfway up, sticking straight out behind him, which looks really weird. Sometimes when he's feeling extra good, it points upward curved like a question mark.

My cat Burrito (haha don't ask how he got his name) holds his tail straight up and as it gradually droops down it looks like he uses bursts of energy to keep it propped up! He looks like a peacock showing off!

His tail is very very large and silky since he is part Maine Coon. It has equally fluffy fur everywhere, like a (fluffy) sausage. It's gold with faint darker gold stripes on the top and fades to light cream at the bottom, with a pure white tip. It's completely straight as far as I can tell through all that fur!

Debbie that is a cute question! My Tuxedo kitty Mieu usually has her tail at level with the floor--parallel. My black kitty Cleo varies but usually has her tail in the up-happy-flag position unless she is in contact with my new kitten, an Aby named Ikey. Then her tail is down to the floor and she is hissing ;-))
