Q About Dauphinoise Potatoes......Do you know the ultimate recipe including Gruyere Cheese?
II just love the Tesco Finest Dauphinoise Potatoes and was wondering if anyone has a recipe that could match......or even beat it?!! :D I've been wanting to make some home made for a long time. I am doing a dinner party for family to celebrate our move to our new home.
I can't wait for your recipes, my mouth is watering as I type this ;)
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoIs there such a product available as Battery or Solar Powered Pet Fountains?
I have the Drinkwell Platinum Fountain, but has an electrical cord attachment for power. I was wondering if anyone knows of solar or battery operated Pet Fountains as I would like to place one in the cat pen where there is no electrical power points.
I had thought of solar powered ornamental water features, but they don't have the water capacity and filtering system that pet fountains have.
Many thank for any suggestions.

If so, what flavour do they prefer? Mine like the Salmon and Chicken flavours, as a treat.

14 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoAre there any movements politically to ban unnecessary cosmetic declawing in the US?
I ask this, as I have noticed that there is a political interest in tapering off/banning/making illegal pet ownership in some parts of the US by some animal rights organizations and I can't understand why things like unnecessary decalwing isn't made a priority by animal rights groups over such procedures as cosmetic declawing.
I know most cat registries and charitable organizations are against this in the US, but can't understand why some are not dealing with the true issues of unnecessary painful treatments by cosmetic surgery for the convenience of the owners?!
It really does boggle my mind, I ca tell you!!
6 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoWhat is the known percentage of Pedigree to Non Pedigree cats in the US?
In Australia?
In Canada?
Over the past 3 years, in the UK, it has been found that cats out number dogs as the number one pet by 1 million (7 million cats to 6 million dogs) and that 92% of cats are Non Pedigree ( registration of Pedigree cats has declined even though Pedigree cat breeding and ownership has increased, so true numbers may vary slightly).
5 AnswersCats1 decade agoIf you have found the exact answer to your question, is there any way of awarding ....?
Best Answer within that 24 hour time scale? That way, the person who deserves the 10 points, those that may answer after the correct answer has been given and yahoo time and syntax space is saved.
I'm going on my own experience and observation of being able to award BA at my current YA Level of 4.
Many thanks!
2 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoDoes anyone know where I could buy, rent, borrow a book...?
....available to read in the late 1970's - early 1980's called, if my memory recalls correctly - The Wolf In The Fold - which is about a Roman Centurion during the early 1st Century AD, accounting his experiences from the Anglesey Druid Massacre to the Roman capture of the Judean hill top fortress of Masada?
My memory is a bit bleak, as it's been 28 years + since I read it as a young person. So, any information, even if I have the title slightly wrong, (which may be hampering my finding of this wonderful book) is more than welcome!!
6 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoDid you have a nice Thankgiving w/e?
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in November in the UK like the US. It's celebrated at the end of September when harvest season ends.
1 AnswerOther - Holidays1 decade agoHas anyone tried these Biodegradable 'Doggie' Waste Bags?
http://www.greenvalleybags.com/order.html
(Scroll down as they are on the 3rd row of photo items).
I was thinking they'd be worth using for cat litter (I use a biodegradable cat litter - World's Best) and was interested to see if these bags are as eco-friendly as my cat litter!
Do they do the job well and are they worth the $6.99?
2 AnswersCats1 decade agoDo your cat/s have their tails straight up in the air more times than not? ....?
If, so.........what shape are their tail/s?
My boy Izzy has a straight tail with just the end curling over slightly.
My girl Layna has her tail arching towards her head in an almost Alaskan Malamute dog way.
My second boy Gus has his tail absolutely and totally 90 degree angle straight up in the air.
And my last boy Midi has his tail straight up, but has a kink at the end so has a slight crooked look to it, bless.
As you will well know as kitty owners - nay, slaves; an upright tail in a cat denotes complete happiness with its surroundings.
I'd love to hear any tail (tale) :) you have about your furry feline babies!
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoFURMinator. Have you successfully groomed a .......?
..... Long/Semi Long Haired Cat with it?
What was the end product like?
Did it reduce dander around the house?
More importantly, was it comfortable for longer haired cats without causing drag on the hair shafts and skin?
I'm asking as a long standing and happy user of the large slicker brushes on my semi long haied cats and was interested in the comfortability, safety and success of this grooming product.
Short haired cat owners opinions are more than welcome too as I have one DSH also.
Many thanks.

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoNew Applaws Dried Cat Food.......?
....has anyone tried this product? Apparently, the protein content is 80% and no carbohydrate/cereal is added at all. It dounds like a very interestingly good dry food option, if you need it.
