Is kinesiology for real?

I went to a professional herbalist & she determined what to prescribe by having me hold the herbs in my hand while she pressed on my outstretched arm to test my strength. She eliminated all herbs but one and I was pretty impressed until she started calling out dosages: 2 a day, 4 a day, 6 a day, and so forth. My arm began to lose strength (supposedly) when she passed 9 a day so she told me to take 2 capsules, 4x a day. Is this for real? What has been your experience with kinesiology?

Update:

She selected several herbs based on my symptoms, but then chose from them w/this test. It was the determination of dosage that I thought weird.

Hi: I have seen chiropractors, nutritionists, naturopaths and one MD who used applied kinesiology to determine nutritional or homeopathic remedies for me. Nothing worked for my chronic fatigue.

The whole process seems pretty subjective to me. In my opinion, the thoughts, feelings and personal biases of the kinesiologist and the client can influence the results. Besides that, a person might need a certain herb on Monday, but later in the week the person might need a different herb.

However, after saying all that, it may be worth it to give kinesiology a try. Some people report good results. What does not work for one person may be successful for another.
