If you think the earth can take care of itself, then are we in for a spanking from Mother Nature?
Is the way we have abused our environment the reason for the predicted drought, dust bowls, flooding, dangerous hurricanes, tornadoes and disease?
Reality is that if no one stood up for the environment we would be living in an unhealthy crap hole. When the black plague swept the lands do you think everyone just said "Oh well, whatever -I'm not going to believe those nuts who think a tiny rat has anything to do with this" No, they tried to figure out what they were doing wrong and they CHANGED their habits!!!!!!!!! That's reality!

I think most are confused by the fact that yes in the last 150 years the global average temperature has gone up by .7c. The point seen by skeptics is that 1850 was at the bottom of the Dalton solar minimum and so unnaturally cold. The real question is the basic claims made by the AGW fraternity as a priest uses the mantras and dogma of his church.
First is that it has never been this hot (1998) in all of human history.
Well any decent historian or geologist knows that it has been considerably hotter at least 5 time previously in the last 8,000 years and one of those was only 600 years ago and another only 1,000 years ago. Both of these warm periods are exceedingly well documented historically and scientifically.
Second is that it has never gotten so hot so fast in all of human history. Well in that incident just 600 years ago it went in about 100 years from about 1.5c colder than present to 1c hotter than present (1998) and back to 1.5c colder. Historians dealing with the period and geologists worldwide document this 1400 event. Knowing these basic facts since my school days when they were covered as part of the basic education leaves me highly suspicious of the quality of the education children are getting these days.
Well the discussion still comes down to facts against opinion and all the facts still show that the current climate optimum is the coolest in 8,000 years. In fact of the 4 climate optimums in the last 1,000 years it is still the coolest and from onset to peak has been twice as long as the preceding ones. All the evidence proves our current climate is perfectly natural and that the alarmists are at war with harmless plant food that actually helps keep the planet from overheating at one end of the spectrum and getting to cold at the other. It is a climate moderator not a driver. All the listed factors of AGW still lack any even basic studies that warrant calling it a theory and in fact scientifically it does not even warrant being called a hypotheses. So far the best it can be termed is a political talking point, nothing more.

In the days of the dinosaurs, there were drought, dust bowls, flooding, dangerous hurricanes, tornadoes and disease. The nearly insane need for the left to blame these phenomena on humans and particularly America is breathtaking. Mother Nature will not spank us. Mother Nature is a myth.

No that stuff always happens! People used to sacrifice themselves to keep "the gods" happy so that stuff doesn't happen! even still it happened and more sacrifices had to be done.
Theres not a year where droughts don't happen! or floods! or dangerous hurricanes or tornadoes and disease(that especially happens every year) If you hear more of it....then theres more media coverage!
See the connection.....the media is your eyes and ears....but before they tell you what is happening it goes through the brain which can jumble/misinterpret and screw up info! and even make false accusations/predictions!

I understand your question, surely your concern is the result of watching Al Gore's movie or that other one from Leonardo DiCaprio, someone you know has told you about those movies , or you read a website that supports supports them.
Well, those scenarios have been proved to be inaccurate and unrelated to human intervention / man made global warming.

Haha, if mother earht could, i think we were.
However, i think motehr nature is not out to punish us through storms and disease. As for the storms, i do not know if Global warming is causing more storms. There are plausible theories that it can (hurricanes require warm sea water to form, the hotter the climate, the hotter the seawater) but i would be cautious to attribute any particular storm to GW.
A lot of diseases have been spread by humans, but only when we started to live in cities in unhygienic, polluted conditions, and travelled a lot between those.
I think its far simpler. we destroy that what is producing our wealth. we consume our resources. we don't need a spanking, we are spanking ourselves. and the only thing we should do is stop it.

Ridiculous. Predict anything you want. That's not the same as reality.
I guess if you detach yourself from reality, then "global warming" becomes easier to comprehend.
