Should I go to a Boarding School?

Looking at this from a senior's view point (senior as elderly, not a high school senior), I tend to agree to the indications from others.

First, how do your parents feel about this situation, can they afford it? This is not an easy choice for them either. It can open many great opportunities for you in the future.

You would have to change your lifestyle to adapt to a boarding school, are you willing to do that for years to come? I really don't think that your social life would suffer greatly, but it would be different.

I think that the era of nun's beating you, or suffering as Oliver Twist in Charles Dickens is a true reality.

Discuss this with your parents, include grand parents only if you wish, they have their own biases (we all do).

It depends who you are, if you are family oriented or independent, however everyone adjusts finally. Its hard to be moving around especially if you are in high school and changing schools and boarding schools is a great alternative. You should look into it and there are boarding schools of all types, so look for the one thats just right for you and your needs, just make sure your parents will pay for it =).

i go to a boarding school but i am a day student. the boarders seem to have tons of fun but i don't know if i could deal with the lack of freedom. they have to sign out and can't go out on their own. plus it would be kinda creepy sleeping at school...

boarding school used to be something my mom would threaten us with if we were bad..lol
