What is a Man shift and Power shift? I have it on my car.?
I have a Ford Probe '89 GL. automatic.
But I don't know what is this man shift? how does it work and how do I use it? also there's this button on the gear stick and says Power shift and Norm shift. I always put it on norm but what does power shift mean?
Would you be kind enough to answer my questions and tech me about how to use them properly?
oh, I don't have the manual for my car anymore :(
There's also a small button on the left side of the gear handle.. and when i press it, the Man shift lights up on my dash board? I have no idea but currently I just use automatic.

OMG you are Obviously talking about powershifting a MANUAL transmission, when you "powershift" a manual transmission, you don't use the clutch, you just slam it into gear NO your automatic dosn't have it, because you don't have it, its an action, not a noun. and the button on the side of your shifter, says power shift, but it is your over drive. obviously it's going to change gears, duh, into overdrive. when you are doing better than 50, click the button, put it into overdrive, and take it out when going up hills, it is a higher gear, gas saver, if you will, I mean its nice that you try to educate yourself on these things before actually using the car for transportation.

normal and power shift has to do with the rpm the gears change at and probably a little to do with the shift pressure. normal is just what it says, and power will allow the engine to reach a higher rpm b4 shifting. dont know about the manual shift thing i have never seen it. only thing i could think of is it might over ride computer if you wanted to go through gears manually. my theory is an easy one to check...put the car in the manual shift mode and pull the shifter all the way down into 1 or first, then just accelerate normally. if the car shifts itself then im wrong but if it just continues to tach up then im right.

Well the power shift is shifting with power meaning you have more horse power applied and most likely would involve the tork converter lockout. Manual shift means to be able to manually shift the car up or down a gear, unless you are an experienced driver be careful using manual shift as you could drop it down to far in gear range and damage the transmission. SO Automatic means you put it drive and it shifts gears automatically manual means you shift it by hand from one gear to the next depending on the power you need. so if it were in drive and you thought you needed more power you could shift from drive to 3rd gear or 2nd gear making the engine Rev up at a higher rpm giving you more tork to pull with. does that help???

Power shift is probably just a different transmission calibration. It should change gears at different rpm's in "power" mode compared to "normal" mode.
Your question "what is this man shift" doesn't really make sense to me. I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Is Fiona being performed, exceeded round? sounds like Gerry has some subject matters (insensitivity). yet then, so does Fiona. they are both insecure interior themselves. i trust life is what we make it. we are able to envision and project merely about something we want and it turns into reality. The better skill (unfavorable or effective) we 'feed' it, the better we enable it into reality. (sounds like a sturdy cleansing soap opera to me! lol!)
