SUPER CLEANING a bathroom.?

I'm just wondering if there is any wonder product I can buy or possibly even a concoction i can make to REALLY scour the shower/tub. The shower wall is plastic and I think the tub is too? I'm not really sure. It's not porcelain so I don't really need to worry about scratching it. The shower wall is beige and the tub and sink are both blue, they're pretty old. And they need to be cleaned pretty badly. So I'm wondering if there is any sort of like, rough, exfoliant-like cleaner, or maybe one that i can like spray on that will REALLY get rid of a lot of the crap before I have to start scrubbing.

Also, as I said, the sink is blue. There are these like, rough brownish like lines in it that are seemingly IMPOSSIBLE to scrub off... is this lime? Would that lime-away stuff help it, or that CLR stuff? I just don't want to waste my money going through cleaner after cleaner just to find one that works. I appreciate the help!

Yes the CLR stuff will do much of the work for you. Then I would clean with cotton rag tied-up inside a plastic scouring net -- the kind of plastic netting that onions or grapefruit come in. This is also a great scouring pad for pots and pans and doesn't damage sensitive surfaces. But yes, the CLR will remove some of the salts and deposits.

If you want to use a chemical product, CLR is probably the best. Scrubbing Bubbles products work well, too, but they don't just wipe off ... you do need to put some effort into it.

If you want to try something more natural, baking soda and white vinegar might remove MOST of the stains, but it will take some work. The baking soda is a mild abrasive and the vinegar is a mild acid ... you can mix the two together to make sort of a liquid cleanser.

Your shower wall and tub are most likely fiberglass, and yes you DO have to worry about scratching it. In fact, it probably already IS scratched up and that's why it's so badly stained. Once the finish on fiberglass has been damaged, it can never look like new again.

I think any regular cleaner should do the trick but use a scrub like pad kinda like something you would use to clean your pots and pans. You can get some at a dollar store. Wet down the shower and tub then spray it with cleaner and start scrubbing at it. It will take alot of elbow grease and you will probally have to repeat this process a couple times or more if you havent cleaned it in a while. After scrubbing it wet it down again to rinse off all the guk.

Comet will work but the brownish lines are rust..I use to have a rust problem(had well water) and I found a product called IRON OUT you can get it powder or liquid at Walmart but not in laundry isle it's on other side near the stuff for RV toilets and things at most locations but don't use the iron out on the plastic shower walls will gradually eat it over use

Source(s): ClR and lIme away never worked for me

Same answer as I had to your other question about the mold.. Mean Green mildew remover or just mean green in general.. 2 bucks at the dollar store and I have yet to find anything that it won't clean ( except I haven't tried it on laundry) The stuff is awesome and you can't beat the price

You could try using a gallon of white vinegar and really hot water and

allow it to soak for 1-2 hours.
