  • Doggy doors, flaps, etc.?...?

We have 4 cats and want to keep a litter box in our attached garage. The door that attaches our garage and house is like a normal thick, heavy, solid front door. We want our cats to come and go in and out of the garage and house as they please. A small doggy door would be perfect... but knowing nothing about "doggy doors" where should i start? Do you install a seperate doggy door into your own door somehow or do you have to buy a completely new special door with the doggy door already in it?

Any advice, tips, help would be appreciated

  • dishwasher...leaves a bit of sand like residue on/in dishes after washing?

Does anyone else have this problem (or had) and know how to fix it, or where it's coming from, how to clean it, etc.?

I usually find a bit of the sand like stuff in the cups or if a light bowl on the lower rack overturned and filled with water, it would also be in the water.

  • Need some good songs I can use to add on to a dvd of my photos (slideshow with music)?

The majority of my photo slideshows will be of my two kids (boy, 3yrs and girl, 2yrs). and I want appropriate music to add to it.

As one example...I used a Taylor Swift song, Never grow up.

I'm looking for any other good song ideas please. It dosent have to be a newer song, it just has to be good!

It may be a song related to mothers, fathers, children, daughters, sons, siblings, brothers, sisters, growing up, feeling and acting young, youth, babies, parents, love for family, childhood, etc.

  • Is it my camera that sucks or my settings, etc.?

I have a 12mp Olympus x-42 camera and for some reason it's so hard to ever get a good pic. with it where ever I am or whatever i'm taking pictures of.

I mainly use it to take pics of my kids..(2yrs and 3yrs) so of course I have to be fast with the cam. but it never takes the pic when I try to, even when I hold the button down half way first. I always get a pic. a couple secs. too late. Also I cannot get a pic. of my daughter with her eyes open! If i turn the flash off it's blurry.I've tried all settings, different situations, everything.

Is it my camera that sucks and should look into buying a new one? or is there more I can try to get good pics with this camera?

  • oven stopped working, both elements (the top and bottom) wont work though...?

and it seems odd that they would both burn out at the same time. When i would turn the temperature control on for the oven i used to hear a very faint click noise, now i dont hear it at all? Also the fuses for the oven have all been checked and are good,

What could be the exact problem or problems with the oven, how could i find the exact problem, how do i fix it and approx how much could it cost?

if it makes a difference the oven is an older Moffat almomd colored oven.

  • After lightning/thunder storm this summer, power went out in my area and now my large screen TV wont work?10pt?

My parents have a large screen TV in there basement where they would watch rented movies/TV quite a bt. (sorry not sure of brand or any other details about the tv) I know that it's not over 10years old and that the picture has always been great and my dad would watch HD on it too.

So there recently was a lightning/thunder storn this summer and it knocked out the power in my area for a bit. When the power came back the TV wouldnt turn on. Then out of nowhere my dad got it to work and turn on again. Later that night I guess the power in the area went out again and when the power was back again the next morning the TV wont work or turn on again at all since.

It's been about 2weeks and it wont work still.

What happend? Is it fixable? What can be done if anything? Any info and or details you can offer would be helpful, Thanks.

  • How to help a hoarder? Proffessional help...where do I go, who do I call, etc.?

My mother slowly began hoarding about 10years ago and built up to being bad enough now that my dad, brother, nephew (everyone who lives there) dosent want to stay there anymore and since it's their home and have to live there they are misserable because of the junk being collected and stored. I cant even take my kids (grandkids) over to vist their grandparents anymore because it's not safe. It's nothing like what you see on the show Hoarders but it's getting worse and worse.

My dad gets very upset because of this and dosent deserve to live like that since it's his home too but cant help my mom anymore to try and control this because it's a viscious cycle. He convinces her to get rid of one thing finally but another new thing is always found and brought home again.

How do we address these issues to my mom and start resolving this. Who do I call, what do we do.

What is the next best thing to do to help her and put an end to this?

  • Wanting any advice/tips/helpful opinions on double strollers...3year old and 1year old...long walks, shopping.?

What's the best double stroller for me...I have a 3year old and 1year old...We use it for long walks through city, grass and fields, gravel, up and down curbs, shopping so must fit and manuver through tighter and more crowded areas and store isles.

I owned a BOB revolution single jogging 3 wheel stroller that i had to sell so i can buy a double.

I loved the Bob stroller but cannot afford the bob double. My price range is 200-300max. (will look online or even for used ones when I figure out which one is best for me.)

I dont own a car so my stroller is our only transportation. Must be able to stand all weather, snow. rain, mud, etc. I also need as much storage as possible where ever i can get it since I do go to the store alot and always try to jam any open space with my groceries. I like the 3 large wheels for all terain, I love the brakes that are just one easy lock bar you kick down simply with a tap of the foot.

Please any tips, advice. experience. anything will help me!

  • Kitchen faucet burst without any warning or previous issues,...has anyone else had this happen? what caused.?

Nobody in the house was using any water/flushing toilets/doing laundry, etc. Out of nowhere the kitchen faucet burst spraying water out by the gallons it seemed like until fire department arrived and shut the water off (in the basement, no water shut off valve under the sink)

My kitchen and basement were completely flooded in a matter of 5-10 minutes.

There was no previous warning signs or issues what so ever, and I never would of expected this.

Has this happend to anyone else before (i've never seen or heard of anything like this before)

    and

Does anyone know what the problem may have been that caused this...The kitchen faucet has been changed and seems to work fine again but this only happend yesterday so I'm worried that there could be a problem elsewhere that i cant see or dont know about and am also worried that the new faucet is only a temporary fix if there is something else.?
