What qualifies as a cardio workout?

I know working on the cardio machines at the gym counts, that's obvious, but I was wondering if walking, biking, yoga and fencing count as a cardio workout? Is there a definition of a cardio workout?

    Any activity that gets your heart rate up. Hence the word "CARDIO".
