If the tingling is inside your nostril, then the issue could be eosinophiles or histamine release from mast cells. Both of these are related to allergies. Allergies start with one cell, which then become a group of cells, which then distribute throughout similar tissues. This is the same sequence of fighting off an infection, except during infection this tends to occur in the lymph nodes.
Take a Benedryl or similar 4-6 hour antihistamine. If the tingling goes away, then this is probably what is going on. If that is true, you may be able to persuade your doctor to prescribe a nasal corticosteroid like Flonase. By using this, you may be able to get that pesky cell or group of cells to kill themselves. (Steroids cause white blood cells to undergo apoptosis, or cellular suicide) Thus you could potentially dodge a bullet in developing new allergies.
