calling C&A people...am i the only one who think that ONE PIECE is stupid?!?

Um no offense... but are you just bagging on the series just to be close minded, or have you honestly actually READ it, gave it a shot, and simply didn't care for it? The latter of which is understandable, but you sound really biased asking this question.

1. If your friend were in trouble, wouldn't you do something? Luffy stood up for Nami because Arlong's crew KILLED her mother right in front of her and enslaved her for her whole life. Hardly a stupid reason, if you ask me.

2. And for the kingdom of Alabasta, evil pirates were starting a coup to incite a civil war in the kingdom, resulting in tens and thousands of casualties. Are you saying wouldn't do anything to stop a civil war if you could?

3. And for Nico Robin... she too was tormented and bullied her whole life. Until Luffy came along, she didn't have a single person she could call friend. So the fact that the Strawhats challenged the marines to save her says a lot.

These kinds of themes (Protecting your friends, saving people in need) are just as common in other shonen like Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, Bleach, and DragonBall. You're not saying a whole lot about those other mangas, and if you pay a little better attention, you may notice that it has a deeper plot, more originality, and better character development than most, if not any shonen manga out there.

Next time you berate something, please do us all a favor and know what you're talking about.

Edit: And last but not least, to anyone else, please don't go on about how One Piece sucks if you've only seen the craptacular 4kids dub, which notably cut out many of the best action scenes, had terrible dubbing, bad music, ignored vital plot points and character traits, and even omitted whole arcs.

Reason number one is out the window. By saying fighting for your friend is a stupid reason, you are painting the kettle black. That's how every Shonen Anime does thing. Especially Naruto. Nami was psychologically messed with since a child.

Reason 2, saving the kingdom was originally for money, (Nami the accountant) but after a while it was more than just saving a kingdom, it was saving the people from killing each other. It was further more focused on saving what Vivi cared about.

Reason 3 is also more profound than the other two. Their pirates. Taking on the World Government is actually not surprising. Declaring war on them for the sake of one Nakama is greater.

If you notice from Naruto the Movie 4, he took what Luffy shouted to Robin.

Yes, you are the only one that thinks that it's stupid. Every other Shonen fighting Anime has the same thing. Ichigo declaring war on the Soul Society to save Rukia, attacking Hudo Mecho to save Inoue, all the same thing.

And you can never judge an Anime by it's tributes. If that were the case, I'd go off of this:

There is nothing stupid than saving a friend. We all do the same thing. We're there for our friends. Its not lame at all.

Robin's proven to be a criminal to the World Government. She was part of a group that was searching history. What the group found was to be top secret. If they knew such a thing, they had to be killed. This secret was supposedly important to the World Government,

Well, saving your friend? How can you stand there watching a friend getting controlled, enslaved, or bullied? Well, nobody! Friends, allies, and even enemies has friends, Japanese term "Nakama". They all care about their friends. In shonen manga and anime, we see a lot of trend like this. "Saving friends" is so common and most of the fans aren't tired of seeing a beautiful friendship between friends. In Bleach, Naruto, D. Grey Man, and Dragon Ball Z, they all have major "saving friends" themes. So, if a series were that empty, I guess I'd quit watching them.

2. Saving a kingdom from a massive civil war that had no reason to begin with is not idiotic. Vivi wanted to save her kingdom from being killed. That place, Arabasta, is her home, where her friends, family, and many others live at. Of course she's gonna save her home town from an evil pirate group controlled by Crocodile. Crocodile was seen as a hero of that kingdom, but Vivi saw through him. He wasn't a hero. He was the villain, and he killed many people. I'm guessing that he wanted money and rule the world.

3. Taking the world for one sole person? Now, this one, I'm not sure if you're implying that you're against it or for it. But, to me, its more of saving the world for one sole person. What makes the world go round is friends and familly and enemies. Its all a matter of balance. Now back to the question, its not lame at all. I think what the Strawhat did for Robin was an incredible thing. Going up against the government for a friend is awesome. How can you think its lame? I'd do the same! Its called rebelling!

No, I don't think so at all. Granted, One Piece is better as a manga than an anime, but still, all the resaons you think it is stupid I disagree with. And I watched the anime, and the clips, and I read the manga

Well when the series first came out I wasn't too crazy about the artwork, but when I read it I immediately liked the storyline.

Well I don't think it's stupid, it's not for me though. I can't get past the art, the art just isn't my style. Sorry everyone who likes it, I'm not saying it's not a good anime though, it's just one I don't happen to like. :)
