They will be a great resource to you. You need to have your dog evaluated by a show handler to see if your ***** is show quality. They can also mentor you and teach you the rules.

I'm not sure what you mean by "rules." Are you entering your dog in the show? The pup has to be 6 months old and be AKC registered. There are a lot of "rules" when it comes to ring etiquette. If you have a pro handler, you have nothing to worry about.
