There is speculation on whether Al Qaeda even exists. According to leaked documents Al Qaeda is the name of a list of covert agents working for the CIA. I don't believe too much of what I read unless I research it for myself so I am not sure if this is true or not but its always nice to hear the two sides to the story.

Source(s): Al Qaeda Doesn't Exist is a new documentary from The Corbett Report that interrogates the mythology of Al Qaeda as a shadowy terrorist organization led by arch-villain Osama Bin Laden. The film will look at the group's founding and funding by American intelligence, the Al Qaeda agents who are harboured and protected by foreign governments, the 9/11 myth and the fake videos that have been released in order to propagate the Al Qaeda myth. The documentary will also look at the reasons behind the creation of this phony enemy and what the average citizen can do to work against the propaganda of the controlled corporate media. Osama Bin Laden is the leader if he is alive. There is a theory that Al Qaida knows he is dead but won't say so to keep the image of Osama and Al Qaida powerful. And, the CIA (USA) also thinks he is dead but won't say so to keep US forces in Afghanistan. If he is dead, I think Mullah Omar would be the leader. Mullah Omar was the leader of the Taliban, and they hosted Al Quaida.
