is obama irresponsible for saying economy will get worse?

his comments will cause people to have negative out look and stop spending,is he trying to make things worse, looks that way to me.

Update:

his comments can make things worse. negative comments become self fufilling prophicies. right now we need consumers spending not hiding because obama says it is going to get worse.anyone with a brain knows best thing to do is get confidence back, not spread fear

Well he promised to fix the economy, so now he has got to start backing out of his promises some how. It will be worse for the entire first four year term. Then the next promise will be on his second year term if he can finish what he started he will fix it. Within the next 8 years it will fix itself eventually contingent on how much additional damage BO does.

I feel that it will get worse before it gets better. I don't care what president you would have coming into office right now, things are tough and no one is going to fix things overnight. There are too many things going on right now to come in and perform a miracle.

I think he's being realistic. He knows that most people see him as the savior from the last 8 years; and they expect him to fix what's wrong beginning Jan. 20.

He is taking a careful realistic approach.

My bet, the big thing was to make Bush look as bad as poss before he gets out..then Obama came come swoop us up and "save everyone". (btw, Bush has done a good enough job at making himself look bad..he didnt need help) On the flip side, Obama is probably right. Its like a lot of things in life....its can only get worse before it gets better. Maybe hes just telling the truth and his true opinion.

If he said the opposite you'd be knocking him for lying. Get a grip on reality and recognize that honesty is a good thing.

I suppose you would prefer a President who lied to you. Most of us do not.
