Follow the link - click on the site APOLOGETIC AVENGER cites. Do you feel it's relevant to the post? The post is ***clearly*** asking about Judaism. NOT what some Xians think Jews *should* believe in!
Here's a hint: the first line of the site she links to reads:
'The best way to help Jewish people understand Jesus...'
Any thoughts...?

I interpret that line to mean "The best way to make Jewish people aware that we really don't care for them and really don't accept them is to..."
Yet if we had a page that said "The best way to make Xtian people understand they are believing in a false Messiah and breaking a direct commandment of G-d is to...." We would be told how terrible we were and how we don't understand Xtianity.
I am fine with saying I don't understand the finer points of Xtianity. It is not my religion. I DO understand Judaism. Just because they use an mistranslated "Old Testament" does not mean they understand the teachings of Judaism. I said not long ago in a message that we have the oral tradition and was sent a message that I am arrogant to think Xtians do not have the answer because they don't have the oral tradition. How am I more arrogant than someone who thinks I am going to hell because I am Jewish but they are saved simply for a belief? I was shocked.
The best way for Xtians to understand Judaism is to listen to Jews and not think they know it better than we do.
Personally, I understand Xtianity about all I want to. I have the fundamental enough to know I do not believe and never will. Calling Jesus "Yeshua" or something along those lines does not make Xtianity more appealing to Jews. I once said the name "Moshe" at the University and a Xtian laughed saying "His name was Moses. You guys are so goofy". I said "Moshe. It is in the Torah" and she just laughed. I guess she thought the people who wrote the Torah wrote in English and whatever name she used was right. Odd that now some of them will change the name of Jesus to Yeshua to make him more appealing to Jews but don't do that with other people in the Torah.
Xtians will answer for Jews all the time. Personally, it makes me annoyed and I think it is arrogant but this is an open forum and they have that right.

Worse than apologetic avenger who was probably another Christian who thinks he has the God given right to redefine other peoples beliefs was the idiot who mentioned human sacrifices. This sort of stuff is just a regurgitation of middle ages blood libels.
Also, I don't know if it's just me, but anyone showing support for Judaism, either as a Jew or a well wisher seems to be the target of violation notices. I can't provide a link because his question was removed, but the man who asked Messianics and Christians to justify their stance, the one where I maintained that you could not be living under the Jewish law then in the next breath, claim to be living under Christian grace is one example. There was also the idiot who claimed that his professor had provided links that Jews controlled the world who had his post re instated. Again, I can't post a link because I was blocked and silenced.
I had a post removed for asking why some Christian ministries ostracised believers who owned tvs because of the danger of porn corruping them, but they were ok to own computers which have a bigger scope for porn. Yet again, no link because my post was removed possibly for publically exposing that J4J stuff as apostasy from Judaism, and in all honesty an heresy in Christianity.
There seems to be something going on underhand against Judaism and anyone who shows any sympathy and I don't like being continually silenced.

Not Jewish, but as a Christian I am shocked at how history seems to be rewritten lately. I am shocked that people believe that Jewish customs and beliefs have changed. The most constant religion and culture in the world is Judaism. When I read that people think the Jews had human sacrifice it astounds me. I have read the most outlandish things lately about the Halocaust, about Isreal etc. Do they teach history anymore? Are people becoming more prejudiced all the time. It really does disturb me.
edit
I am also offened by sites that have a Jewish, Pagan etc look that are actually fundemental Christian.

Quite apart from the content of the site, it's seriously lacking in literacy. Just take this one sentence: "Although the Judaism sees a different Messiah, then Christianity, Judaism along with Christianity believes when Messiah comes and reins there will be peace on the earth amongst the nations." "the Judaism"? comma after 'Messiah'? 'then' in place of 'than'? 'reins' where it means 'reigns'? This sort of sloppiness puts me off instantly - why should I assume the capacity for rational thought if they can't even proof-read something they expect to connect to thousands of people over the internet?
Of course it's not relevant. But then people with fixed ideas of all sorts don't really care if their view is relevant or not! I'm always so grateful for the sane, thoughtful, considerate and engaged people on here, from all backgrounds - I just wish they outweighed the others!

I would have been more impressed if he had used a Jewish website instead of a Christian interpretive site. Using the OT would have discredited his answer from the start.
I would have been more impressed if he had made use of 'Heritage Civilization and the Jews', Abba Eban. Granted this book would have given a small overview and an introduction for the lady's question of Jewish thought through the ages.

Pretty sad.
Yes, let's address a question on what Jews believe by referencing what some Christians think they should believe.
"Messianic" activity is considerably up lately, probably because of the impending holiday season, so this I doubt this is the last you'll see of this kind of misinformation.
As an atheist, I don't have any theological stake in either Judaism or Christianity, but I do not appreciate the distortion of any faiths genuine beliefs. I may not place much value on religion, but I do on the truth, and misrepresentation should be combated wherever it arises, allowing it to go unanswered does a disservice to us all.

Interesting question. There is also a site Called what Jews believe which has a side by side reference which tells Christians what they really believe. I don't see much of a difference except the Christian site referenced is making a better effort of being truthful about Jewish theology that the Jewish site is about Christian theology. Those are my thoughts.

He's a messianic missionary, an xtian pretending to be a Jew. Xtians would probably be much better off if they asked Jews how JC fit in as a first century Rabbi than if they try and get us to worship strange gods.
Even from the Messimaniacs it is amazing how little curiosity they have in JC and never ask any intelligent questions of the people who have the cultural memory to explain even the little things like the brachas said at the "last supper."

Source(s): ETA- is it relevant? Well, let's see..ir's a xian site, so I'm going to go ahead and say... No :) And I don't give a damn what xians think I should believe in. Actually I don't give a damn what they believe in themselves, but they just *won't* *shut** UP about it, you know??!
