Support our troops... In China? More of a point-counterpoint then a question.?
I work in a direct mail house. We are doing a job for a customer where they are sending toothbrushes to our troops over seas. (Good). All of the brushes came in a plastic bag with "Made in China" on them. (Bad) We had to hire a dozen temps to pull the brushes out of the bags. (Good- creating jobs.) All of the temps are illegal immigrants. (Bad.) What do you think?

If the troops get their brushes, who cares where it came from. And what's wrong with letting people know that the stuff comes from China? It's not like they don't know their stuff comes from the lowest bidder :) Nationalism's one thing, but doing stuff like that just to make them think the stuff comes from the US is a bit overdoing it isn't it? Not to mention slightly deceitful and a waste of money, which defeats the purpose of getting them from the lowest bidder in the 1st place.

The war is funded by China any way. Besides, if you expect those tootch brushes to be made in America, they would probably be more expensive than the army rifles. Like those auto makers paying blue-collar with $70/hr + benefit, from people with working attitude like that, there would be no profit from the war at all and post a lot heavier taxes
