depends on how old you are and how old she is. If you're young and she's an older woman, could have been just extra friendly (although rubbing your back each time she passed you is a bit much). I wouldn't worry about it. Are you trying to figure this out to see if she's interested? If that's the case, then go back to the restaurant and try to hook up, maybe reciprocate with a back rub :)

I'm sure you misconstrued the situation, a pat on the back is normal and friendly, now if she gave you a kiss on the back then that would be an entirely different story.

I think if you'd gotten the happy ending, THAT would've crossed the line, but some waitresses are just being friendly.

Depends, if she was kinda old, maybe in her 50's or 60's, i wouldnt really think anything of it. Old people are almost always nice lol, especially waiters.

But if she was younger around 30 or so (or younger) then i would think she was either hitting on your or just plain weird.

That would make me uncomfortable. She's still a stranger. Unless, of course, you were rubbing her, then it's O.K.
