Does anybody actually watch and enjoy the Champions' League and UEFA cup in their present form ?

Personally, since they replaced the European Cup with the Champions' League I stopped watching any European competitions. The format seems to favour the bigger clubs, and reduces the likelihood of an upset - and involves far too many games, and too many clubs - for me Bring back a knockout competetion between the champions (not the fourth placed teams !!!) from all European leagues.

lovelove.. : I disagree that more games means more great games, because most of the added games mean nothing. In a straight knockout format all games mean something - and I think the tension of knowing you have to win creates better games than the games you know you can afford to lose a couple of games.

The best games in Champion's league will be the one's in the knockout phase.

    Good point, but honestly, it's never gonna happen since the current format was introduced to generate money. Old format's good, but less matches means people won't get much interested and there'll be less big matches between big clubs. Teams like Inter and PSV will get knocked out after the first round and it'll be too boring to watch. And people want to see more goals and more great goals, great matches and more great matches; that'll come from having more matches.

    i personally find it a sort of "racism"(not by comparing races, but clubs) between the leagues because they choose the big four,but fact is there are clubs worthy of having a shot.so basiccly it will be man united,chelsea,arsenal,liverpool

    real madrid,barcelona,valencia,villa real

    inter,juventus,ac milan,roma

    etc. etc.

    its not really fair.
