Christians, what would you change in the bible?

This is a hypothetical, so please treat it as such.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypotheticals

If God spoke to you, and said you could re-write, reverse, revise, etc one part to the bible (old or new testament), what would it be? It can be something incredibly minor or something complex.

Ah what the hell, anyone can answer.

Update:

sabre, I not only explained that this is hypothetical, I gave you a link. I can only assume you are either unwilling or unable to learn.

Update 2:

Of Course: then don't answer the question. Or say "I wouldn't change it". But in the question, I tell you hypothetically that God is allowing you to change it. So an answer that basically says "God told us not to change it" completely misses the point of the quetsion.

Update 3:

Of course: Then answer that it is inappropirate. When I pose that God allows you to change the bible, and I get answers that "You can't change the bible" that is clearly someone not understanding what a hypothetical question is. Do you not understand this reasoning?

A couple of possibilities. That passage about being saved by faith, not by works? I'd clarify it. Something like, "It is faith by which we are saved, and works by which we prove that faith."

And when Jesus tells Peter, "Get behind me, Satan," because Peter doesn't want him to suffer? I'd add a bit more to that. Peter could explain that he was only trying to protect the Son of God, that he and the other disciples wished to serve as his priests. Jesus could then straighten them out and say something like, "There are no more priests. I am your priest. You will build no temples to me, or concoct useless rituals and sacrifices. I am your sacrifice. My death is your ritual. Remember what I am about to do and do likewise, without hesitation. Witness to truth. Relieve the poor. Condemn complacency. And do not yield to persecution. If you would follow me, you will follow me all the way, past hope or fear, to do my Father's will."

    Okay, don't get me started.

I would put it in different order. Probably put the OT in chronological order and the NT also. The Gospels I would combine so that the stories include all information at once. This would be to make it a little more understandable, I think, and maybe make it read more like a novel than a religious text. Like the Message, I dont think these changes would take away, but help the proliferation of the Gospel.

If I heard a voice that said that to me, I would know that it was not of God. The Word of God is both perfect and complete. I would not want to change a thing.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

    Revelation 22:18-19

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

    Proverbs 30:5-6

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

    Numbers 23:19

What is Godly about hypothetical situations? That's like saying that Halloween is harmless because it's all "make-believe." Hypothetical situations can be used to teach, but they can also be used to ensnare.

And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

    Jeremiah 16:12

Anytime someone contradicts the already-recorded Word of God, whether that someone is a friend, family member, pastor, child, elder, missionary, or a voice in your head, they are not of God.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

    1 John 4:1

If god spoke to me I will never change the bible and I will ask him what are the things to add to the bible.

I would re-instate the Jewish rules about how old you have to be before reading certain books of the Bible. Those are the books where I see incredibly stupid things said by people.

Anyone who adds or takes away from the book? Not me, no.

Turn to the very end of your bible, Revelation 22:18-19, where Jesus says -

I give fair warning to all who hear the words of the prophecy of this book: If you add to the words of this prophecy, God will add to your life the disasters written in this book; if you subtract from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will subtract your part from the Tree of Life and the Holy City that are written in this book.
