Does your faith make you more gullible?

There are some instances from the Bible, and even more afterward, that indicates that people who believe in God with all their might, are duped by con-men, frauds, and agents of evil.

1. Moses delivers unto the Jews of Exodus, stone tablets bearing the Ten Commandments. He claims that God Himself wrote them.

2. Paul finds his way to Peter's (?) house, claiming that he was blinded by a vision of Jesus, while on the Road to Damascus. Paul then proceeds to preach his own religion, in Jesus' name. Yet it actually detracts from what Jesus himself taught.

3. A well known televangelist announces that God will kill him unless his supporters pony up X-million dollars, which they promptly do.

So, are believers incorrigiably stupid, or does their faith make them easier prey for frauds, manipulators, and sociopaths?

    1. God has the power to do anything He wants in any way He wants to. He wanted to write the commandments on those stone tablets and give them to Moses (because Moses was God's faithful servant) so he could give them to the Jews, so He did.

    2. How did Paul teach his own religion? What did he teach that detracted from Jesus' teachings? Do you have examples?

    3. We must use discernment about certain televangelists. Even I know that and I'm a Christian.

Nope. My faith gives me strength and a clear conscious. I know how to avoid frauds, manipulators, and sociopaths. God tells me who they are. 1. Moses destroyed a higher set of commandments and consequently the people who worshiped the golden calf all died before they arrived at the promised land. 2. Paul got in the way of God fulfilling his plans, so Christ had him blinded and shows how merciful God is, to use him as a vessel to preach to others. 3. Televangelist lied. God told me so.

Do you even get how pathetic you are?

I dont understand people like you. You truly do believe you are superior just because you arent Christian. Yet you would probably be one of the biggest whiners if anyone ever talked down to you like that because you didnt agree with their beliefs.

Seriously, get over yourself. If you really think you are smarter or better than all other Christians out there then you must be one of the most arrogant person that ever walked this earth!

    no it's the opposite,

God will lead and guide us.

he gives us discernment to weed out the bad and the liars from the true men of God.

are you saying that Moses was a liar?

    that Paul was a liar?

now #3 I can see where you would think that.

if I stay in God's word and ask him to help me,then I will not fall prey to anyone trying to bring a false gospel.

Believing in something is not the same as trusting what another person tells you. They could be saying something you believe while not being honest about their true intentions. It's called "street smarts."

My faith strengthens me... and Jesus Himself said that not everyone who takes His name will be His followers.
