What is up with all the ignorance?

Why are so many ignorant questions about atheists being asked? Do atheists lie more? What do atheists eat? Do people really think atheists are somehow a different species to humans or something?

it is called being human. we are ignorant of something. Why not, the best way to learn about a group of people is to ask, though more Intelligent questions would be better.

Atheists lie about the same as most people.

They eat food like the rest of us.

I bet some do, but they just believe differently than I do does not make them any less or more human than me.

Being a Christian i am often offended by the questions of other "Christians" directed at Atheists. They should be setting an example of the Christian way of living. I feel that Atheists have a better chance of getting to heaven than some Christians. I am not offended by Atheists attacking my faith. I understand why they do this. I am more concerned by other Christians attacking my faith. The true Christian will pray for the conversion of the world. It is the only way.

Wow, this is the best question I have read all night, I promise! But I really don't know the answer to it. People are stupid.

My favorite ones are like the ones that suggest that atheists are like completely immoral and have no conscience and everything. Like we don't have certain rules that we live by, like we don't obey the laws or anything. That since we don't believe in hell we just go around killing people or something like that. Ugh, people.

Why the double standard? I never talk about my religion, ever, EVER, unless someone inquires first. I never push it upon someone else, ever, EVER! But atheists always make it a point to immediately get their opinion across as fast and as harshly and as condescendingly as possible as if my private opinions are somehow going to affect their reality.

How about this? We all leave each other the hell alone.

Yes, they actually do. There was this one on YouTube who said that all atheists are subhuman animals who are possessed by the devil (but he has been banned from YouTube, so that video is gone).

Just look at it this way: Free points for answering stupid questions.

Ehh it goes with the territory on r&s. I usually find it pretty funny. If people want to waste their points like that well who am I to even try and stop them?

People in some places have never met an Atheist in person that they know of. They're almost mythical creatures, not to mention grandparents in such cases like to embellish their descriptions a bit.

because they feel "sorry" for us.

    which is infuriating.

i mean, we obviously feel like we're missing something when other people are asking their imaginary friend for guidance.

i feel sorry for people who are too scared of this being it, to realize that even if their god exists, he's doing a shitty job of taking care of the world.
