What do you want to see in our nation, the US ?

Please, no negativity, no mention of any politician's name. Only what you want to see us work toward. For starters, I want economic stability and prosperity; increased national security, including a reduction in crime; environmental improvement; affordable health insurance and quality health care; respect for diversity; and vastly decreased reliance on foreign energy.

If we could raise the quality of public education, all those other things would happen as a result of having a well-educated electorate. Right now, it seems there are too many backward voters fighting progress. Some of them will never change their minds, but future generations deserve a better education than they're receiving currently.

Strong national defense
Domestic drilling
Cut in social spending
Less govt involvement in our lives
Policies that make people responsible for themselves.
A tax system in which the bottom 40 percent actually pay taxes and not just cost us money

I'll just ditto what you said and will add that I would like to more tolerance and more equal rights for all, regardless of their skin color, sexual orientation or religious preference.


Oh, and a lot less partisanship.
