Why do we give a Thumbs up/down rating?
So yahoo answers let's anyone rate the comments/answers with thumbs up and thumbs down as you see fit... How do you rate the comments (ie. personal view/beliefs or by what makes more sense)
It ticks me off when I see an answer that sounds logical and unbiased but gets a thumbs down because someone has a bias opinion...
Ex. Poll Question: Do you like Starbucks or Coffee Bean better?
It won't matter which on you answer, if someone prefers the latter and you answers Starbucks, they'll rate you thumbs down...
Just thought it was interesting... what's your opinion?
I wish there was a way we can find out who marks our comments thumbs up/down... Sometimes I feel like it's one person who has nothing better to do than go around giving everyone a poor rating...

Thumbs down should only be used when the answer is totally incorrect and the person posting the question would not be aware of that. In business and finance some questions require specific knowledge and allowing misinformation to remain posted unchallenged is unfair to all.

sure i do cost solutions I cost solutions each and every of the time, thumbs up if i accept as true with the person or if the customers answer is tremendous yet i disagree, i nevertheless provide him thumbs up thumbs down; to trolls, or an answer which sucks and that i disagree with WQ: Randy Orton will stay WWE champion, till Triple H returns. i'm guessing that Triple H will go back at SummerSlam and could defeat Randy Orton @ SS RKO >>>>> Triple H - STARRED

I think some people just thumb downs in order to get their name at the top of the list. Idk.. they want their answer to be the best... even if someone answered the same thing.
