Is every one on the Anime comic section a freaking chick ?

Yes, Very Very Many are Girls. Not too surprising though, The overall number of romantic anime & Manga far surpass the number of Shounen Type. Just saying, that more Girls watch & Read Anime & Manga than Boys. (even in Japan)

First off, there are a very large number of romantic Animes, not to mentions a number of sub categories of animes that fall under the "Romantic" type.

Secondly, just about every good story line contains some sort of romantic undertone, weather it be "Mushy", Comic, Ecchi (perverted), or just plain strange!

Now as to the idea that only girls watch Romantic Animes is completely wrong, even if you only call the strictly "Harliquin" type Romance. For example... Fruits Basket is a Bishojo/Bishonen Manga/Anime that under most classification consider it "for girls", BUT it appeales to males and females on a number of levels! I will point out the few characteristics that I (a male) like the anime for:

1 Very well developed storyline.

2 a lot of action both physical and emotional.

3 has a strong underlying dark side.

4 the Girls in it are extraimly Cute!

5 The romance in it never takes on a "Mushy" overtone without some sort of compensation (comic, ecchi, strange, and some darkness)

So all in all the answer to your question in general might be: it is due to the large amount of Anime dealing with the subject, but my also have to do with the fact that both males and females have lagitamite questions about a large number of animes dealing with the same basic subject matter.

yeah. i seen more girls into anime then boys.

maybe us guys are too busy playing video games.
